Title: Data Analysts with Snowflake  
Location: Hybrid, Austin, TX

Description:
Remote/in office: Hybrid – In office M/W/F
Visa: All apart from H1B and CPT

Day in the life of this role:

• They will be heading the analytics engineering and/or events support – multiple departments in the business. Analytics as a delivery. Depending on candidates' skill set, they will be placed where they fit best
  • Supporting event analytics – things that impact multiple departments. Changes in internal systems, NFL redzone launching, things that have the potential to drive new calls or business across department
  • Supporting sentiment analytics – how do we understand the impact of shifting customer sentiment largely on calls, app, webpages. How do they gauge satisfaction of customers? How will it influence the business? NPS scores.

Top 3 must have skills:

• Snowflake
• SQL
• Must have managerial experience in some capacity (lead okay) (Matrix manager)

Nice to have skills:

• Tableau or Power BI
• Someone who has done customer experience analytics (Sentiment analytics) – candidates with this experience will do VERY well
• Python
• Telecom or call center
• Operations background - how do different departments interact with each other. Consulting experience could work

Ideal Candidate:

• DUCK DB
• DBT or HEX on the resume
  • These skills are usually found in candidates that work in start ups
  • DBT – the tool to kick of analytics engineering. How do you automate a lot of data transformations as an analyst?
  • HEX / Mode – different products but the same

Required Skills / Abilities and Knowledge:

• Stack development and data warehouse knowledge
• Expert with ETL, data automation, and automated data quality checks.
• Expert with Query Performance Optimization and can easily ramp on any database technology.
• Expert with Data Warehouse / Analytics Engineering Schema Design.
• Expert with Python (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
• Expert-level ability to Project Manage including crafting and driving communication to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong-level knowledge of SQL / Hive.
• Strong-level knowledge of enterprise data warehouse technology and design such as Teradata.
• Intermediate skills in Data Visualization. (Tableau, PowerBI, or other)
• Strong at Agile development methodology.
• Understands how to implement code versioning / branching, change management, and QA methodologies.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to identify when to lead by strategic command or by rolling up the sleeves and digging into the data or environment.

Required education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or industry certifications

Required related work experience and number of years:

• Experience in a customer facing products/services environment - 5
• Experience working within a data platform/data analysis environment - 5
• Managing complex projects - 5
• Experience leading teams of data analysts and data scientists
