Core Utilities Lead / Senior Automation Lead

Job Title: Core Utilities Lead / Senior Automation Lead
Location: Charlotte, NC – Need local - Hybrid
Openings: 1 Lead + 3 Senior Automation Leads
Experience: Mid–Senior Level

Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Core Utilities / Automation professionals to support enterprise utility platforms, automation, observability, data validation, and integration services. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with core middleware, databases, API platforms, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support automation initiatives for core utility platforms and services.
• Develop and maintain automated validation and testing frameworks.
• Work with Secrets Management/Vault, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Apigee.
• Perform data validation, API validation, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using Splunk and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed applications, APIs, messaging, and databases.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, QA, and platform teams to improve automation and reliability.
• Support CI/CD integration and automated regression testing.
• For the Lead role, provide technical leadership, mentor senior engineers, and drive automation strategy.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in test automation / automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Apigee.
• Experience with Vault/Secrets Management.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk and Grafana for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data validation and API/integration testing.
• Good understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Lead-Level Additional Requirements

• Proven experience leading automation teams or technical workstreams.
• Ability to define automation strategy, frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
